Virgin River centers on nurse practitioner Melinda Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), who moves to the remote town of Virgin River hoping for a fresh start. She soon discovers that small-town life isn’t as simple as she imagined and that she must learn to heal herself before she can truly call Virgin River home.
The series is based on Robyn Carr’s bestselling Virgin River novels, a beloved Harlequin collection that spans more than 20 books and has sold over 13 million copies worldwide. The franchise was also recognized as part of the HarperCollins 200 list, honoring 200 iconic books published over the past two centuries.
