The actress, who plays maid Sophie Baek, tells “Entertainment Weekly” that she immediately shouted, “I lost a shoe!’”

Call it life imitating art: Yerin Ha reveals she had her very own fairytale moment while filming the Cinderella-esque fourth season of Bridgerton.

The actress and her costar Luke Thompson tell Entertainment Weekly that she genuinely lost a shoe while they were filming the scene in which her character, Sophie Baek, flees the Bridgertons’ masquerade ball in the season 4 premiere.

“She lost her shoe! In a Cinderella way!” Thompson exclaims. To which Ha gleefully adds, “I did!”

Sophie attends the Bridgertons’ lavish bash in secret, donning a glittering silver gown and a matching face mask that conceals her true identity as a housemaid from the rest of the ton.

A chance encounter with bohemian perma-bachelor Benedict Bridgerton (Thompson) leads to the pair spending an enchanting evening together in the pergola, but when the clock strikes midnight, Sophie is forced to flee or risk being unmasked.

As Thompson tells it, he and Ha were in the middle of shooting the sequence where Benedict chases after Sophie, known only to him as the Woman in Silver, when the shoe situation occurred.

“Literally, we cry, ‘Cut!’ And we’d been running from the house to the pergola so we had to reset,” he says. “And Yerin, when she was resetting, ran up some steps and left a shoe.”

Ha, however, notes that the moment looked “a little bit different” than in previous Cinderella adaptations because it happened before the cameras had started rolling. Plus, she teases, “I would have ruined the shot anyways because I literally went, “I lost a shoe!’”

While it might not be a shoe, Sophie does end up inadvertently giving Benedict a parting gift when she loses one of her gloves in her mad dash for the exit. The clothing item becomes Benedict’s first real clue in his quest to identify his mysterious match.

And, honestly, the glove alone is plenty enough material — at least in Thompson’s book. “He’s already got a glove. He’s picking up a shoe?” he jokingly tells Ha. “By the end, he’ll have your whole costume!”

The first part of Bridgerton season 4 is streaming now on Netflix, with the second installment slated to drop on Feb. 26.
