Monreal’s television career includes extensive experience within the NCIS franchise, where she spent a decade before expanding her résumé with high-profile projects such as Griselda and Paradise. Her return to CBS helped establish NCIS: Origins as a key extension of the long-running franchise.
David J. North, Monreal’s longtime collaborator and fellow NCIS veteran, will continue as the show’s sole showrunner. In statements, both creators emphasized their close working relationship and mutual respect. CBS echoed that sentiment, expressing confidence that the creative groundwork Monreal laid will continue to guide the series as new episodes return March 3.
