Joan Vassos shares her relationship dealbreaker as filming for ‘The Golden Bachelorette’ gets underway
Joan Vassos was married for more than 30 years. By all accounts, she had an epic love story. Now a widow, she’s ready to jump back into dating. Vassos is on the hunt for her next great love. Through years of experience and loss, the mother of four knows exactly what she is and is not looking for in a future partner.
In a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight, Vassos discussed her relationship dealbreakers and what she is looking for in her future partner. She told the publication that she wouldn’t entertain a potential suitor who is rude to waitstaff and service workers. While it might seem “minuscule,” it is a behavior that would make her completely write off a potential suitor. She called it a major turnoff.
Joan Vassos has discussed her dating preferences in the past
Joan Vassos doesn’t just know what she doesn’t want in a partner. She knows what she’s looking for in her future suitor, too. In a previous interview with CNN, Vassos revealed that she is looking for a man willing to take their relationship a bit slower than Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist did. She also said she wouldn’t date anyone who expected her to leave her family behind, so a man who is willing to travel or is open to conducting a long-distance relationship would be ideal.
Vassos won’t need to make a final decision for a few more weeks. The Maryland native recently started filming The Golden Bachelorette in California. While ABC is trying to keep Joan’s season quiet, Reality Steve has already shared an image from one of Joan’s one-on-one dates. She looked pretty comfortable with her mystery date already. Filming is expected to take between four and six weeks.
Season 1 of The Golden Bachelorette will premiere in September. ABC will likely unveil Vassos’ suitors just weeks before the season premiere.
