NCIS is officially making TV history—and the cast is celebrating right along with fans. CBS has confirmed that the long-running crime drama has been renewed for Season 24, marking a major milestone for the franchise more than two decades after its 2003 debut.
The announcement, revealed in January, also included renewals for spinoffs NCIS: Sydney and NCIS: Origins, proving the franchise is stronger than ever. But it was Wilmer Valderrama, who plays SSA Nick Torres, who captured fans’ attention with his emotional response.
Sharing the news on Instagram, Valderrama celebrated the renewal with the cast before reminding viewers that the wait for new episodes won’t be long. NCIS is set to return from hiatus on March 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
Fans quickly flooded the comments with congratulations, calling the renewal “the best news” and praising the enduring chemistry of the team. After recent schedule delays due to the State of the Union address, the confirmation of both a return date and a future season brought welcome reassurance.
