Kaley Cuoco has opened up about the emotional challenge of leaving her young daughter while filming her latest series, Vanished. The Big Bang Theory star spent two months away from home shooting the mystery thriller and admitted she was “really scared” about the decision.
Cuoco, who shares two-year-old daughter Matilda with fiancé Tom Pelphrey, revealed that she wrestled with guilt and uncertainty before accepting the role. Ultimately, it was Pelphrey’s encouragement that gave her the confidence to go. She praised him for stepping in fully at home, saying she couldn’t have managed the experience without his support.
While the separation was difficult, Cuoco said it was important to show her daughter that pursuing meaningful work matters. She also shared gratitude for a close circle of friends who helped her navigate parenthood without judgment.
