Heida Reed’s FBI: International days are numbered.
TVLine has learned exclusively that the Icelandic actress — who has played Special Agent Jamie Kellett since the CBS procedural’s 2021 launch — will be leaving the spinoff early into the upcoming third season.
Reps for CBS and Wolf Entertainment declined comment, but sources confirm that Reed’s departure was creatively driven.
Reed’s looming departure comes on the heels of the CBS procedural adding Christina Wolfe (The Ark, Batwoman) in the series regular role of Special Agent Amanda Tate.
The third iteration of the successful CBS franchise, FBI: International follows the elite operatives of the bureau’s International Fly Team headquartered in Budapest. The Fly Team is led by Special Agent Scott Forrester (played by Luke Kleintank), while Reed’s Agent Kellett served as his second-in-command.
In addition to Reed and Kleintank, FBI: International‘s original cast was comprised of Carter Redwood (as Special Agent Andre Raines), Vinessa Vidotto (as interrogation expert Cameron Vo), Christiane Paul (as Europol liaison Katrin Jaeger) and Green as Tank, Forrester’s black Giant Schnauzer. Paul exited the series after Season 1, at which time Jaeger was replaced with Eva-Jane Willis’ Megan “Smitty” Garretson.
FBI: International Season 2 ended with a bomb blowing up the team’s offices, leaving everyone’s (but Tank’s) lives in jeopardy.
FBI: International kicks off Season 3 on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024, hammocked again between the mothership and Most Wanted.
