Tony & Ziva’s NCIS Return Just Got More Likely After Paramount+ Update md14

The door may not be closed on Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David after all.

Following Paramount+’s decision to cancel NCIS: Tony & Ziva after one season, fans now have new reason to hope the beloved duo could return to the flagship NCIS series. While the spinoff offered a fresh, serialized take on the characters, its quiet ending may actually open the path for Tony and Ziva to rejoin the franchise where they became icons.

The limited series wrapped their story on a hopeful note, reuniting Tony and Ziva as a family and resolving years of emotional tension. With that chapter complete, the characters are now free to reappear on NCIS without the constraints of a standalone storyline.

Michael Weatherly’s recent return in NCIS Season 21 — during the tribute episode honoring the late David McCallum — already proved how seamlessly Tony can fit back into the mothership. Adding Ziva alongside him would allow for meaningful reunions with familiar faces like McGee, Jimmy Palmer, and Director Vance.
