FBI: International will maintain its facial hair quotient in the wake of original cast member Luke Klientank’s upcoming exit.
Chicago Med and Arrowverse alum Colin Donnell is set to guest-star in the final two episodes of FBI: International Season 3, which will air after Kleintank’s May 7 send-off as Supervisory Special Agent Scott Forrester.
People.com, which was first to report on Donnell’s casting, had no details on his role.
Kleintank had announced his exit on Tuesday evening.
“After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave FBI: International,” the actor said in a statement to our sister site Deadline. “This decision is driven by my unwavering commitment to my family, whose love and well-being are paramount in my life. I’m profoundly thankful for the extraordinary cast and crew of the show, who have not only been colleagues but also a family away from home. Their unwavering dedication and remarkable talents have made every moment on set an unforgettable journey that has enriched my life in countless ways. Lastly, I would also like to extend my thanks to the fans who have supported us through the first three seasons.”
Kleintank’s final episode will air Tuesday, May 7, at 9/8c; Donnell’s guest-starring appearances will air May 14 and in the May 21 season finale. Of note, Teri Polo (NCIS, The Fosters) is still set to also appear in the season’s final two episodes, in a mystery role.
News of Kleintank’s departure comes just over two months after his FBI: International co-star Heida Reed exited the series as Special Agent Jamie Kellett. In the Season 3 premiere, Reed’s character announced she was quitting the Fly Team and transferring to the Washington, D.C. field office.
Earlier this month, CBS renewed its entire FBI franchise for additional seasons. FBI: International will be back for Season 4, FBI: Most Wanted will return for Season 6, and the mothership was picked up for another three seasons, ensuring it will be on the air through at least Spring 2027.
