OA’s Toughest Moment Yet: FBI Delivers a Blow Fans Didn’t See Coming md11

OA has been through a rollercoaster when it comes to relationships, but we thought he had a good one in Gemma. On FBI season 8 episode 8, his biggest issue was letting her in.

He didn’t want to let her in on the dangers of his job, and that makes a lot of sense. If he allowed her in, then she would worry while he was on the job, and this could have a knock-on effect in their relationship. Not everyone can deal with being with someone in a dangerous line of work.

However, when OA took Gemma to dinner and started to share a little more, the heartbreak came. And OA didn’t deserve this.

OA and Gemma broke up on FBI season 8 episode 8

FBI season 8 episode 8 ended with OA and Gemma at dinner, where he decided he would open up a little to her. He needed to share the dangers of the job, especially after the case that they had. But Gemma stopped him.

It turns out that Gemma has been having an emotional affair, and it sounds like she wants to see where things go with the other guy. She hadn’t physically cheated on OA at this point, but Gemma wasn’t in the relationship anymore. She took the blame, but she did say that OA being emotionally distant caused a problem — that’s not an excuse, though!

OA wasn’t going to fight for this relationship. As hurt as he was, he just said, “that’s that, then,” and Gemma got up and left.

Could this open the door for Maggie and OA?

Of course, there is a growing fanbase looking for Maggie and OA to end up together. The two have had chemistry from the start, and it’s clear that they care for each other. When OA suffered from the neurotoxin, Maggie did everything she could to get the antidote for him, and she was going to stop at nothing until she succeeded.

OA has also protected Maggie at all costs. The two are a team, and they will always have each other’s backs, and it just seems like they should be together outside of work as well.

However, part of me is on the side of them only working together and not tangling up their lives with a relationship. There’s always a risk that their personal lives won’t work together, and then this causes problems for their working relationship.

I also look at Benson and Stabler. If Law & Order: SVU still hasn’t put those two together, it’s going to be impossible for Maggie and OA to end up together on FBI. We can dream, though!

FBI airs Mondays at 9/8c on CBS.
