Yellowstone is a series about the biggest ranch in America and the Duttons, saving it from land poachers, authorities, and trespassers while dealing with their own internal conflicts. Being Taylor Sheridan’s brainchild, the drama series has found quite the recognition and fame since its inception in 2018.

Having a plethora of remarkable and exciting characters who will do everything they can to save or take the ranch, the series has become very exciting for viewers to watch. However, there are opinions and concerns that Taylor Sheridan has a “biased” treatment to one particular character who has been overly abused in the series.

Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone Has a “Biased” Opinion For Jamie Dutton

Formerly known as Michael Randall, the child was adopted by John and Evelyn Dutton, and he lived on the ranch for quite a while. When his adopted sister Bethany Dutton became pregnant during her teen years, Jamie Dutton took her to a shady clinic in hopes of helping her get an abortion. Things turned sour when the clinic removed the uterus of Bethany Dutton without her consent.

Ever since then, Jamie Dutton has been getting abused by Bethany Dutton as their relationship took a dive. Jamie Dutton went on to become a lawyer, and since then, the people living at the ranch have a grudge against him.

On a Reddit discussion, fans talked about how Dutton has already been through a lot of horrible treatment and is just an outlet for Bethany Dutton to take out her mental illness. Joining the discussion, another fan pointed out that it almost feels like Taylor Sheridan wants to make everyone who doesn’t live on the ranch an enemy of the Dutton family.

And coincidentally enough, it’s the one character that doesn’t live in the ranch, doesn’t hang there, wears suits, has a good haircut and is felt like the enemy. Almost like Sheridan were biased towards leaning for the cowboys, since he’s one, and feels like the white collar is the enemy. It’s stupid and sily.

As the discussion continued, we couldn’t help but agree with the statements made by the fans. Every person has their breaking point, and it feels like Jamie Dutton has been holding back for too long.

Maybe it’s finally time for the character to unleash the beast within and actually do something about the abuse that he has been suffering for so long. That’s what fans seem to think, and they are not wrong in this particular case.

The second solution is that Dutton snaps and dies while trying to wreak as much havoc and as much damage as possible to the Dutton family because of their abuse. Whatever the case might be, the point still stands that Jamie Dutton needs to snap just once.

Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone has been indeed getting rave reviews and praise for its brutal drama, but fans might want to see some form of redemption for Dutton when the series continues. The 2018 show received a rating of 8.7/10 on IMDB and a whopping 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.
