Continuing to prove itself to be one of Netflix’s most popular ongoing series, Virgin River season 6 delivered exactly what was expected in its sixth season. While the series never sets the world on fire from a critical standpoint (excellent Rotten Tomatoes scores aside), it’s clear that Virgin River knows exactly what buttons to press to please its audience. While reviews have been scant, Dexerto quickly deemed season 6 the best of the series thus far, and it’s hard to argue considering the landmark changes. The Denizens Of Virgin River Return

The entire main cast of Virgin River season 5 returned for season 6. The show has been anchored by Alexandra Breckenridge as Melinda “Mel” Monroe from the beginning, and she was joined by Martin Henderson as Jack Sheridan. The town is made up of a large ensemble, each with their own dramatic storylines, and season 6 added some new faces to spice things up as well. Perhaps most interestingly, Jessica Rothe (Happy Death Day) and Callum Kerr (Hollyoaks) joined as Sarah and Everett, respectively, the younger version of Mel’s parents.

While season 6 of Virgin River finally delivered the wedding that viewers have wanted since day one, that doesn’t mean things were all positive. The ending of season 6 threw more than its fair share of curveballs at both Mel and Jack, and the rest of the denizens of Virgin River weren’t immune to the soap opera-style shockers.
