Jeremy Clarkson praised by Kaleb Cooper for ‘one thing’ he’s actually good at on the farm
Jeremy Clarkson’s co-star Kaleb Cooper has opened up on what it is like to work with the former Top Gear star – exposing his skills around the farm.
For the last month, Cooper has been touring with his talk show, The World According to Kaleb, which meant he had to leave Clarkson to his own devices on the farm.Cooper’s tour comes to an end on March 11 and will return to the land and hopefully avoid any devastation that Clarkson could have potentially brought onto their farm – Diddly Squat.
He made his TV debut in 2021 and has become a firm favourite of the viewers, especially when he refuses to let his boss get away with any of his TV shenanigans.
The farm hand recently opened up on the skillset that he is happy to leave Clarkson to get on with without his watchful eye.
“Bear with me, it’s hard to get this out. He’s not a bad pig farmer. He’s actually really good at it. It’s the one job I can leave him do, and he’s surprisingly good.“Jeremy has been really good at inventing his own stuff to help with the pigs.
“He’s great at bringing piglets into the world and takes pride in them. It’s amazing to see. It’s a skill, pig farming. Although I don’t want to big him up too much,” he told The Sun.
Cooper also admitted that he was “a bit worried” to see what he is going to go home to but was keeping his “fingers crossed”.
“He’s supposed to be planting the spring barley and the wheat while I’ve been away, but who knows? But he’s learnt a little bit over the five years we’ve been farming together.
“That said, having a little knowledge is f***ing dangerous. He now tries to tell me it’s too windy to go spraying. He can’t tell me that, I taught him.”
Season three will see the arrival of Clarkson’s desperately sought-after income – pigs – meaning his training will come in handy.
However, the synopsis for the series looks as if Cooper isn’t on board with the decision to bring on board more challenges for the farm.
The synopsis from Amazon reads: “The third series of Clarkson’s Farm finds Diddly Squat facing some seriously daunting challenges.“The crops are failing in the severe hot weather, inflation has driven prices of supplies sky high, dreams for the beloved restaurant are dashed and now the farm shop also faces closure.
“Jeremy urgently needs to come up with creative new ways of making ends meet, so hatches a plan to turn a profit from hundreds of acres of unfarmed land – thick woodland and hedgerows that make up half of Diddly Squat. This triggers an avalanche of Clarkson-crafted schemes, involving everything from goats and pigs to mushrooms, nettles and deer.
“Someone new arrives to Diddly Squat, which puts Kaleb’s nose out of joint – as well as the returning characters all working to help Jeremy’s farming ambitions come to fruition.
