A brand new season of “Hell’s Kitchen” is officially on its way to FOX fans this fall. Celebrity chef, restaurateur and TV personality Gordon Ramsay will return as host for the 24th season of the high-stakes cooking competition set to make its debut on Thursday, September 25 at 8:00pm ET.
While past seasons have typically featured a cast of 12 to 20 chefs from across the country, the forthcoming season, dubbed “Battle of the States,” will begin with a total of 50 chefs from each of the nation’s 50 states. From home cooks to restaurant owners, the season’s contestants will go head-to-head for a chance to become the new executive chef of Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen Restaurant at Foxwoods Resort Casino alongside a grand prize of $250,000.

Ramsay will whittle down the 50 starting chefs in a tournament-style showdown until just 20 remain in the upcoming premiere. From there the season will play out traditionally as the remaining contestants are separate into gender-based teams.
While the identities of the full cast have yet to be revealed, FOX has confirmed the Top 20 contestants that will continue to compete on “Hell’s Kitchen: Battle of the States” beyond the premiere.
