NCIS: Los Angeles alum Daniela Ruah turned 42 on December 2 — and marked the day with a nostalgic (and impressively athletic) Instagram post that quickly set fans buzzing.
The actress, beloved for her role as Kensi Blye, recreated a childhood photo of herself performing a headstand against a wall. The first image shows her at age two attempting the acrobatic move; the second captures her executing the same pose four decades later with flawless form and the strength of a seasoned athlete.
Daniela also shared fresh portraits taken in her garden, looking radiant and nearly ageless. “From 2 to 42… Not much has changed… except my perception of gratitude,” she wrote. “Feeling nothing but love and grateful for everything in my life today and always.”
Fans flooded the comments with birthday wishes — and disbelief at her youthful appearance. Many insisted she looked decades younger, with one follower writing, “Are you sure you turned 42? You look 20 years younger.”
Ruah has long been devoted to fitness, but in 2023 she revealed a renewed commitment to her health after sharing that multiple family members — including her father — had suffered strokes. She later underwent a whole-body MRI scan as part of a proactive wellness plan.
Off-screen, Daniela enjoys a full family life with husband David Paul Olsen, whom she married in 2014. The couple, introduced by Eric Christian Olsen on the NCIS: LA set, share two children: River, 11, and Sierra, 8.
At 42, Daniela continues to impress — with her agility, her glow, and her gratitude.
