Omar Adom “OA” Zidan has not had the best of luck when it comes to relationships on FBI, which is partly why fans have begun to ship him and Tiffany Wallace. Do OA and Tiffany get together in FBI Season 7? We have the answer below. Plus, see what their portrayers had to say.
Do OA and Tiffany get together in FBI Season 7?
Although we don’t know for sure, fans took note of OA and Wallace’s chemistry in Season 6. The special agents were partnered up during the episode “No One Left Behind” while Maggie Bell (Missy Peregrym) was out on leave, and viewers couldn’t help but notice how well they work together.
Katherine Renee Kane, who has portrayed Tiffany since Season 3, agrees that the duo have a great working dynamic and a lot in common, but doesn’t know if she sees a romantic future for them. “[Tiffany and OA] are the closest in age, so maybe that’s what [fans] are reading…?” she told TVLine after the Season 6 finale. “They also both understand toeing the line of having minority status and how to connect on that, but as far as a love interest…? I am totally not presuming to know what the future holds, and that is not anything that I’m aware of. I just think they work really great together.”
In his own interview with TVLine, Zeeko Zaki, who has starred as OA since day one, called out the fact that his character and Wallace’s don’t have the same “brother/sister relationship” that OA and Maggie have. While this leaves room for the pair to grow into something more, the actor did note that they don’t really have an emotional connection, which is actually what enables them to be such great partners. “It’s great because with Missy [Peregrym] I feel like I have a very protective, very ‘King Kong to my Jane’ sort of energy, but with Tiff we don’t have that,” he explained. “There isn’t really that protective big brother or brother/sister relationship. It’s strong and it’s nice, because we can see how people can work together just as tightly and be just as connected without having it be because of a more emotional or relationship sort of dynamic.”
There’s also the matter of OA being in a relationship with Gemma Brooks (Comfort Clinton). It’s unclear where the couple stand heading into Season 7, but their relationship has been problematic since the get-go and it’s truly surprising that they’ve lasted this long. Gemma comes from a wealthy Upper East Side family, while OA was raised in Queens by immigrant parents. On top of being polar opposites, Gemma is involved in the New York City party scene and OA inadvertently got her friend killed while trying to take down a mob organization.
During an interview with Parade, Zaki called OA and Gemma “a true opposites attract relationship.” He added that OA enjoys their differences, as it allows him to separate his work from his personal life. “I definitely would have never thought the writers would have given him a relationship with, you know, a girl who does coke, so it’s been nice to play it slightly on screen, mostly off screen. It just kinda shows the line in the sand between my personal and professional life. OA hopefully seems to be handling it really well,” he told the outlet.
The pair faced another big hurdle in the same episode that OA and Tiffany worked together, when OA struggled to open up to Gemma about his military past. The Season 6 finale did not touch on their relationship, so we’re not quite sure if they’re still together.
With his relationship seemingly on the fritz, several fans are hoping that OA and Tiffany’s friendship with evolve in something more in Season 7. Additionally, the show has yet to explore Tiffany’s love life, and fans would like to see that side of her. Unfortunately, it appears that an office romance is not in the cards for them anytime soon.
