Actor Dylan Walsh, 62, made a stylish appearance at the Toronto premiere of his upcoming TV series Heated Rivalry. Dressed in a crisp white button-up shirt, blue blazer, and black overcoat, the Nip/Tuck star posed for photos alongside his co-stars, including Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams, who portray ice hockey players in the new drama.
Adapted from Rachel Reid’s novel of the same name, Heated Rivalry follows two rival hockey champions who find themselves confronting unexpected emotions when they begin to develop feelings for one another—an entanglement that threatens both their careers and the expectations of the sports world. In the series, Walsh plays the father of protagonist Shane Hollander.
The premiere comes just three months after Walsh and his family were involved in a car accident in Rumson, New Jersey. On August 17, following a day at the beach, the actor’s SUV collided with utility poles while he was driving. His wife, Leslie Bourque, their children Hudson, 12, and Amelie, 13, and another adult were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Walsh’s representative later released a statement: “Over the weekend, Dylan Walsh and his family were involved in a car accident in Rumson. Thankfully, everyone is safe and has since returned home. The family is deeply grateful for the swift response of the Rumson Police, Fire Department, and EMS, as well as the staff at Riverview Medical Center for their care. They would also like to extend a special thank you to the management and staff of The River Point Inn for their support in the immediate aftermath.”
Walsh, known for his role as Mayor Peter Chase in Blue Bloods, also shared a heartfelt tribute to his late Nip/Tuck co-star Julian McMahon following the actor’s passing in July. “Dear Jules, I know you like to flout the boundaries, but this time you’ve gone too far,” he wrote. Reflecting on their years of friendship, he added, “We’ve laughed at this too many times. Now it’s just us. You’ll kiss me on the cheek and say, ‘Bye Dyl.’ Goodbye, Jules.”
