Virgin River Star Issues Urgent Warning to Fans as Co-Star Shares Concern md14

Virgin River star Martin Henderson has issued a fresh warning to fans after yet another wave of scam accounts began impersonating him online — leaving co-star Alexandra Breckenridge stunned that the issue is still happening.

Henderson, who plays Jack Sheridan on the hit Netflix drama, posted a video on Instagram urging fans to stay alert.

“Hey guys, hope y’all are doing well. Bummer to have to keep reminding people of this, but please know that I do not communicate with anyone outside of THIS Instagram account,” he said.

He stressed that any other profile claiming to be him — on any platform — is a scam.
“If you or anyone you know is being contacted by any other account… please be careful,” he continued, adding that he is not asking anyone for money or personal information.

Henderson admitted he regularly receives messages from fans who’ve been approached by impostors.
“I feel like this is the only thing I post anymore,” he joked, though clearly frustrated.

He reassured followers that he is safe and healthy:
“I’m totally fine, I’m not in hospital. I don’t need help, I don’t need money.”

Alexandra Breckenridge Reacts

Under the video, Breckenridge — who plays Mel Monroe — expressed disbelief:
“I can’t believe this is still happening.”

Fans echoed her concern, with one writing:
“I report several [fake accounts] a week… they just keep coming.”

A Real Fan Lost $375,000 to a Martin Henderson Impersonator

The warning comes months after a devastating case in February 2025, when a woman was scammed out of $375,000 (£275,000) by someone pretending to be Henderson.

The victim had communicated daily with the impersonator for two years, even relocating to New Zealand to begin a supposed life with the “actor.”

Her suspicions were confirmed after a friend showed her a news article about the real Martin Henderson attending a bike rally in New Zealand — at the same time the scammer claimed he was hospitalised in South Africa.

The woman had first been contacted through a Virgin River fan page, after a fake “agent” told her Henderson wanted to speak with her. She later realised the scammer had even used Henderson’s genuine public warnings to deceive her further.

A Recurring Problem for Celebrities

With impersonation scams on the rise, Henderson continues urging fans to verify official accounts before engaging with messages, especially those involving personal conversations or financial requests.

Virgin River Season 7 arrives on Netflix soon.
