Chicago Fire Stars Taylor Kinney and David Eigenberg’s Hilarious TikTok Fail Thrills Fans md14

As TikTok continues to obsess over the viral mashup of 4 Non Blondes’ “What’s Up?” and Nicki Minaj’s “Beez in the Trap,” Chicago Fire favorites Taylor Kinney and David Eigenberg couldn’t resist joining the trend — with results that had fans howling.

The Firehouse 51 Take on a Viral Trend

Kinney and Eigenberg, whose off-screen bond is as strong as their on-screen brotherhood, filmed their own spin on the popular audio while shooting Season 14. Their comedic timing? Perfectly imperfect.

Celebrities like Sabrina Carpenter, Jennifer Lopez, and even Linda Perry herself have taken part in the trend — but the One Chicago duo may have just delivered the funniest version yet.

The TikTok That Broke Chihards

In the video, Kinney (fully dressed as Severide) starts with Perry’s iconic vocals, nailing the serious lip-sync with intense focus. Then the camera pans to Eigenberg… who instantly misses his cue, trips over the beat, and launches into an enthusiastic, completely off-sync dance while mumbling Minaj’s rapid-fire lyrics.

It’s chaotic. It’s adorable. And fans can’t get enough.

The moment, filmed by Miranda Rae Mayo, was posted by Chief Lighting Technician Anthony Lullo — and quickly racked up hundreds of likes from delighted viewers.

Laughter Behind the Flames

This behind-the-scenes goofiness is far from rare. Eigenberg has long said that the cast’s strong sense of humor is part of what makes Chicago Fire such a special place to work.

“We have laughed hard. We laugh hard every day on this show,” Eigenberg told NBC Insider in November 2024. “Everybody that could possibly stay stays because it’s a beautiful set.”

From TikTok trends to on-set pranks, the Firehouse 51 crew constantly finds ways to lighten the mood between intense scenes.

Stella Kidd Fits Right In

Speaking on the One Chicago Podcast, hosted by Chicago P.D. producer Brian Luce, Eigenberg shared that Miranda Rae Mayo embraced the silliness from her first day on set.

“When she first showed up, she threw me to the ground and jumped on top of me,” he joked. “We were laughing so hard. She started it. And I told everybody, ‘She fits in.’”
