There’s no new Chicago Fire this week. NBC’s entire One Chicago lineup is officially on holiday hiatus following the fall finales that aired November 12, 2025. The shows will return on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, with next-day streaming available on Peacock.
When does Chicago Fire return — and what did the fall finale set up?
Chicago Fire Season 14 picks back up on January 7, 2026, and the midseason premiere has a lot to answer for. The fall finale ended with Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) trapped in a burning apartment building during an arson probe, while Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) discovered that looming budget cuts could shut down Firehouse 51 for good.
Across the One Chicago universe, things were equally intense: Chicago P.D. pushed Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) deeper into a blackmail crisis and left Imani (Arienne Mandi) in danger, while Chicago Med threw Dr. Lenox (Sarah Ramos) into a confrontation with a threatening figure.
Each show — Chicago Fire Season 14, P.D. Season 13, and Med Season 11 — is set for 21 episodes. With seven episodes aired so far, fans still have 14 episodes waiting when the series return in January 2026.
