They sat down for dinner before the season finale of “The Golden Bachelor” aired on TV.
“The Golden Bachelor” star Gerry Turner had quite the dinner with Kris Jenner and Kendall Jenner, which was documented on Season Five, Episode Three of “The Kardashians.”
On the Hulu series, Kendall Jenner says her mom “pulled some strings with Disney and Hulu” to get Turner to come over to their house for dinner while “The Golden Bachelor” was still airing. The show wrapped on Nov. 30, 2023.
“I think this is the most excited I’ve been in a really long time,” Kendall says while talking to Kris.
Kris, who notes that she and her daughter are “big fans” of “The Golden Bachelor,” gives Turner a warm welcome. The love is mutual: Turner says his daughters are “Kardashians” fans, so Kris FaceTimes them to say hi.
At that moment, Kendall catches a glimpse of Turner’s call log and spoils the show for herself, finding out he got engaged to contestant Theresa Nist in the show’s finale.
The couple ended up getting married in a televised ceremony. However, Turner filed for divorce from Nist three months after they got married.
“I’m going to blame it all on my mom,” Kendall says in a confessional. “When my mom was obviously, innocently trying to help him find out how to call his daughter. I saw him try to call the girl like eight times that day.”
During the dinner, Kendall and Kris grill Turner about his time on the show.
“I have so many questions, like, I feel like this is going to be really, really hot tea,” Kendall says.
“OK, Gerry, so what happened in your fantasy suites,” Kris asks.
“I’m very happy about the overnights because… if you spend five weeks getting to know women yet everything you say and do is recorded, you’re dying to get to that overnight where you can ask the questions without an audience,” he says.
During the dinner, Turner is asked to reveal one thing he learned about himself on the show.
“That I get emotional so easy,” he replies. “Each rose ceremony was difficult. It was awful. It was lost.”
“See, I love how emotionally intelligent you are,” Kendall says. “I mean, it probably comes with the age as well, but it’s so beautiful.”
Turner replies, “I’m not smart, I’m just old.”
“No, you’re not. You are smart,” Kendall says. “I’m sure there are men who don’t put that together ever.”
After dinner, they all watch an episode of “The Golden Bachelor,” with the Golden Bachelor himself.
“It’s very interesting to see that people over the age of 50 actually have a dating life or want to find love again,” Kris says in a confessional. “I think that’s super sweet and relatable to somebody my age. I think it gives women of a certain age a lot of hope.”
