The usual suspects on CBS are taking a break. That means no new episodes of FBI for a while. The good news is we don’t have to wait too long for the series to return.
We’re hitting the summer months, and we know what that means when it comes to broadcast TV. There aren’t any new episodes of the top scripted shows, and that includes FBI.
Sadly, FBI is taking a break starting this month. The Season 6 finale aired toward the end of May 2024. At least we know that we will get more to the story. CBS didn’t just renew the series for one season, but for three seasons, meaning we know that we’ll get episodes through to the 2026–2027 season!
Now eyes are on when FBI Season 7 will premiere. We have a good idea, although CBS hasn’t set premiere dates just yet.
FBI will return in the fall on CBS
Last year, we had to wait until the midseason for shows. That was a one-off due to the strike action during the summer months. In some good news, we won’t need to wait as long for the new season to start. CBS has made it clear that shows are returning in the fall, and FBI is one of them.
The series will kick off a night of FBI drama on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Yes, all three shows in the franchise are back in the fall.
When? Well, while CBS hasn’t announced premiere dates yet—and probably won’t until July—we can look at previous falls to get an idea. Ruling out last year and the pandemic year, we’re looking at the middle to the end of September as a premiere date. If we had to put an actual date on it, right now, we’d say Tuesday, Sept. 24 as the premiere date.
The show will continue to bring us compelling cases and personal storylines for the characters. We hope to see something from Tiffany after the events of Season 6. She did shoot before she realized that Hakim had a weapon on him. She was lucky that he had that, otherwise she could have lost her badge and freedom. Will OA, Scola, and Maggie keep an eye on her in the new season? Is her need for revenge over now?
