Barrett Foa Headlines A Very Queer Christmas Carol in Los Angeles md14

This holiday season, Los Angeles audiences are invited to experience a festive twist on a classic tale. A Very Queer Christmas Carol, a one-night-only concert reading, will be staged at The Renberg Theatre at The Los Angeles LGBT Center on December 13 at 7:30 PM.

Directed and produced by Ryan O’Connor, the performance reimagines Charles Dickens’ beloved story with a vibrant camp musical sensibility. The reading promises humor, heart, and plenty of holiday flair.

The star-studded cast includes Barrett Foa (NCIS: Los Angeles, The Residence, Avenue Q), Tom DeTrinis (I Hate NY, Grey’s Anatomy), Missi Pyle (The Artist, Galaxy Quest, Big Fish), Scott Evans (Barbie, Grace & Frankie), Charles Galin King (King of Drag), Desi Dennis-Dylan (Perfect Harmony, Bupkis), Haviland Stillwell (Les Misérables, Fiddler on the Roof), Justin Anthony Long (For The Love of a Glove, IT! A Musical Parody), and Reed Stillwell (Unicorn Plan-It, Dead Bird).

The show is written by John Flynn (IT! The Musical Parody, Two Old Queens), with Anthony Lucca serving as music director (Mutt House, Calvin Berger) and Olivia Riddle as stage manager (Hairspray, Sugar Daddy).

Since its founding in 1969, the Los Angeles LGBT Center has been a cornerstone of support for LGBTQIA+ communities, offering programs and services in health, social services, housing, culture, education, and leadership advocacy — and this festive reading continues its tradition of celebrating and uplifting queer voices in the arts.
