FBI: International Season 4 will start off the season one team member down. Who should take over as leader of the Fly Team? Should it be Agent Cameron Vo?
The FBI: International Season 3 finale told us what Scott Forrester had done. We know where he is, and it’s clear that he isn’t coming back to the Fly Team. That means a change of leadership as we head into Season 4.
Now the question is who will take over. Agent Cameron Vo quickly stepped into the role as Fly Team leader during the last two episodes of the season. With the exit of Kellett, she was thrust into second-in-commend, so it was only natural that she would take control of the team with him “temporarily” gone.
Now Forrester is gone for good, and the Fly Team needs a permanent new leader. Should it be Vo?
Vo has proven her ability to lead in FBI: International
I would love to see Vo step up as the leader of the Fly Team. She already proved herself in the last two episodes. She made it clear that she is capable, and she was even able to empathize and work with Brian Lange throughout the two episodes.
The problem for Vo is that she can take things a little too personal at times. Just look at the way she struggled to remain calm when it came to the rape victim midway through Season 3.
Of course, she’s not the only one who has struggled to keep things from getting personal. Even Forrester had his moments. It’s only natural to bring a personal element into the case. Vo was eventually able to step back and get the criminal.
She has grown considerably since she initially joined the Fly Team in the first season. The team already respects her and follows her, so it only makes sense for her to step up as the leader. Sure, she’s young, but that shouldn’t stop her from taking over now that she’s proven herself.
Will the FBI agree that it should be Vo?
The problem is the FBI will see her as young. Will they want her to take over the team, or will they want someone a little more seasoned?
We know that the Fly Team will need someone else to join the team. Kellett’s exit led to Amanda Tate joining the team. Powell wasn’t replaced, but the he was an extra addition to the team. With Forrester gone, the team could be left a little too thin if there isn’t someone new who joins. And the FBI could decide that Vo is better as second-in-commend for now.
There is a chance that we could see Colin Donnell return. Right now, he hasn’t been upped to series regular for the fourth season. There are no signs that he will be back. He clearly had more of a back story that was worth exploring though. The question is whether he would jump from NSA to FBI.
When Tori Polo was announced as a character in two episodes of FBI: International Season 3, there was also the suggestion that she could be upped to series regular in Season 4. We all assumed that would mean she’d play an agent, but that wasn’t the case. Could she end up coming in to help the team in some way? She wouldn’t be the leader of the Fly Team, though. So maybe it was just a suggestion to keep fans guessing.
I would love to see Vo in charge. If not Vo, let’s bring another female into the series and have another woman in charge on a CBS series, especially since NCIS: Hawaii and CSI: Vegas have been canceled.
