Yellowstone is coming to an end after five seasons, and consequently, fans need to find a show that can replace the Yellowstone-sized hole in their hearts — thankfully, Netflix has the perfect substitution. The Paramount Network’s critically acclaimed neo-Western drama, created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, has become one of television’s most talked about and beloved series, which is what makes the end so devastating. Nevertheless, the Yellowstone universe will continue with sequels, prequels, and spinoff series. However, it might be a while before any are released, making the aforementioned show on Netflix a must-see for all fans.
Yellowstone season 5, part 2 is scheduled to premiere in November 2024.
Following Kevin Costner’s controversial exit from Yellowstone, the Dutton family (sans John) will return to say goodbye in season 5, part 2. Part 1’s finale aired on January 1, 2023, so, the end has been a long time coming as fans have been not-so-patiently waiting for the show’s next (and final) episodes. Although only a few months remain until the release of Yellowstone season 5, part 2, those who are desperate for new Western television content can look to Netflix.
Heartland Seasons 1–16 Are Now Streaming On Netflix
Almost Every Episode Of Heartland Is Available
The first 16 seasons of Heartland, a Canadian Western comedy-drama series, are available to stream on Netflix as of the writing of this article. The show, developed by Murray Shostak, premiered on October 14, 2007, on CBC Television and is based on Lauren Brooke’s book series of the same name. Heartland has run for 17 seasons and 259 episodes, making it the longest-running one-hour scripted drama in the history of Canadian television, and it’s showing no signs of stopping.

Heartland revolves around Amy and Lou Fleming (played by Amber Marshall and Michelle Morgan in the Heartland cast), two sisters who live with their family on their ranch in Alberta, Canada. The ranch’s name is “Heartland,” similar to how Yellowstone’s ranch is called Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. Over the course of the Western comedy-drama, the Fleming family and their friends experience several accomplishments and hardships. Given Heartland’s themes and insanely high number of episodes, Yellowstone fans have a new show that can keep them busy until season 5, part 2 (and beyond).
Yellowstone Has Been Described As A Grittier, Darker Version Of Heartland
Heartland Is More Light-Hearted Than Yellowstone
When Yellowstone premiered in 2018 (11 years after Heartland debuted), some critics compared it to Heartland, while still noting that the Paramount Network show was much darker than the Canadian series. Since both revolve around big families on a ranch, the comparisons between them are easy to make. However, the themes and storylines in Yellowstone are a lot more brutal and mature, while Heartland markets itself as a family show. Ultimately, viewers can watch Heartland with their (tween and teen) children, while the same can not be said for Yellowstone. Plus, the Kevin Costner-led show has received more acclaim.
Where To Watch Heartland Season 17
When Will Heartland Season 18 Premiere?
While Netflix’s library contains Heartland seasons 1 through 16, the streaming service does not include season 17. However, the good news is that the ten most recent episodes of the Canadian Western comedy-drama can be streamed on UP Faith & Family. As for the show’s future, Heartland season 18 is set to debut in Canada in the fall of 2024, while U.S. citizens have to wait until 2025 to watch the upcoming season. At least fans don’t have to wait that long until Yellowstone season 5, part 2.
