Lucas Adams is going to be a dad!
The Young and the Restless actor, 32, is expecting his first baby with wife Shelby Wulfert. The couple’s bundle of joy, whose sex they have decided to keep a secret, is due to arrive in February 2026.
Adams and Wulfert also shared pictures from their maternity shoot with PEOPLE. In the photos, Wulfert wore a beige two-piece set that exposed her baby bump, while Adams dressed in a crewneck sweater and blue jeans. The pair took their pictures at the beach, setting the perfect backdrop for their photo shoot.

The exciting news comes three years after the duo, who first met in 2015 on the set of Disney’s Liv & Maddie, tied the knot in an intimate wedding at the Chateau Hiddenwood estate in Waxahachie, Texas.
“We were friends first,” recalled Wulfert, during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. “And then after a while, Lucas was so sweet. He was like, ‘I have to tell you that I have a crush on you.’ And then after that I was like, ‘Oh, thank goodness. I do too!'”
While reflecting on the beginning of their marriage, Wulfert said that the ceremony marked the start of their lives together.
“This marks the beginning of starting to really build our family together and what that means for us,” Wulfert told at the time. “We want to have kids in a couple of years so starting to prepare for that next chapter of being parents and the next chapter of the rest of our lives.”
After the ceremony, which was officiated by a close friend of the couple, and photographed by Natalie Nicole, guests dined outdoors on meatballs and lasagna — “a good old pasta feast,” said Wulfert — while music played from a Spotify playlist that the couple created.
The cake was two tiers of white buttercream decorated with greenery and florals to match the green color scheme.
“We have a lot of really cute vintage touches that are super meaningful to us,” she added. “Like our cake topper is actually from my grandparents’ wedding in 1951.”

After their matrimony was official, Wulfert told that there’s one perk she was particularly looking forward to.
“I’m really excited to come up with a bunch of husband nicknames for him,” she said at the time. “All the different cringey things I can call him as my husband… the great hu-bino, you know, the options are endless.”
