‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Ends with Hopeful New Beginnings for Everyone — “Ready for Your Next Adventure?” md14

After 14 action-packed seasons, NCIS: Los Angeles took its final bow on CBS — but instead of heartbreak or tragedy, the series ended on a note of joy, hope, and new adventures ahead.

The second half of the finale, “New Beginnings, Part Two,” picked up with Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) under fire in a parking garage as the team continued its investigation into stolen military-grade weapons. But even amid the chaos, life-changing moments awaited every member of the squad.

Callen and Sam quickly regrouped to assist the ATF with the case, teaming up once again with arms dealer Nina (Lesley Boone). While undercover as “Switch,” Sam ran interference so Callen could access a crucial “air gap” computer that revealed the Argentinian government’s involvement in the weapons deal. Meanwhile, Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) grew restless in overwatch and jumped into the action themselves — with Deeks hilariously pretending to have lost his “pet python” as a distraction.

Once the mission wrapped and the dust settled, the personal stakes took center stage.
Callen returned home to find Anna (Bar Paly) still bickering with her father Arkady (Vyto Ruginis) over wedding seating. That’s when he made an impulsive, heartfelt decision: he didn’t want to wait any longer. “I want to marry you now,” he told Anna, revealing he’d already invited their friends to join them at city hall that night.

While Callen and Anna prepared to say “I do,” Kensi received an unexpected phone call from her doctor — and the news left her speechless. After years of fertility struggles, she and Deeks were finally expecting a baby. “We’re having a baby,” Kensi told him tearfully, before sharing the happy news with their adopted daughter Rosa (Natalia Del Riego). “You’re going to be a big sister,” Deeks announced, pulling his family into a joyful embrace.

At city hall, Callen and Sam shared a heartfelt moment before the ceremony. “I wouldn’t be here without you,” Callen admitted. Sam smiled and replied, “I wouldn’t be here either.” The two longtime partners exchanged a quiet “I love you” before walking into Callen’s wedding together.

The ceremony was simple and intimate, attended by the team and even featuring a surprise cameo — a letter from Hetty (Linda Hunt), congratulating the newlyweds and gifting Callen and Sam two plane tickets to Morocco for a “side project” she needed help with.

With Anna’s blessing, Callen and Sam set off for their next mission — but when they arrived in Morocco, it wasn’t Hetty waiting for them. Instead, they found Nell Jones (Renée Felice Smith), who revealed that Hetty had gotten herself “into a bit of a pickle” and needed rescuing. She wasn’t alone either — Nell’s new team included familiar faces Nate Getz (Peter Cambor) and Sabatino (Erik Palladino).

As Nell asked, “You ready for your next adventure?” Callen looked to Sam and smiled.
“Yeah,” he said. “This is gonna be fun.”

It was the perfect farewell — not an ending, but a promise that the NCIS: Los Angeles family would keep going, somewhere out there, still chasing justice and laughter side by side.
