Although the final episode of “The Golden Bachelor” ended with a love story, things quickly caught fire.
Gerry Turner’s daughter is calling out the hate her family has received since Turner and his bride, Theresa Nist, announced their divorce three months after marrying on national television.
Angie Turner, one of Gerry’s two daughters he shares with his late wife Toni, expressed her concerns on social media, noting that although the split had clearly shocked public but their reactions are difficult to determine.

“It’s no surprise that the news that my dad and Theresa have decided to separate has caused many different emotions and opinions,” she wrote on her Instagram. “I love how invested everyone is in the show, it’s such a great experience having you on board!”
“What disappointed us was the level of rage and cruelty our family had to face,” she revealed.

“My dad and Theresa are kind, good people who made this decision for themselves and no one else. I hope everyone remembers that behind every story there are real people with real emotions.”
“To everyone who chose to show love and compassion to my dad, Theresa, and our family…Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Little is known about the couple’s quick split, other than what the couple shared during an appearance on “Good Morning America” earlier this month.
Turner explains, “Theresa and I had some honest conversations and we took a hard look at our circumstances, our living situations, etc. — and we came to the conclusion together that perhaps it was time for us — to dissolve our marriage.”
Turner currently lives in Indiana while Nist lives in New Jersey. The couple previously talked about moving to South Carolina together.

Nist added: “We have received so much love and support from so many people who have watched ‘The Golden Bachelor,’ and I don’t think we can tell you how many people have told us that the movie gives them a lot of hope. We don’t want anyone. about that to change for anyone.”
The couple reiterated that previous allegations made by Turner’s ex-girlfriend did not contribute to the breakdown of their relationship.

Ahead of December’s highly anticipated finale, Hollywood Reporter highlighted inconsistencies in Turner’s portrayal on the reality show, mainly regarding his employment history and dating life.
At that time, Turner had already addressed many adverse allegations against him, mainly by a woman claiming to be his ex-girlfriend. He said there was “enough truth” in the article to make it suggestive of truth. Negative reactions it has.
