Chicago Fire Season 14, Episode 6 Spoilers: Pascal Makes a Shocking Return md06

The Chief is back at the firehouse in Chicago Fire Season 14 Episode 6.

Meanwhile, we’re going to see another harrowing save that puts Vasquez in the limelight again.

Dom Pascal has been out for the last couple of episodes, and that makes sense.

Not only did we know going into Chicago Fire Season 14 that actors now only have guaranteed minimums, but the show also set up the budget-cut storyline that would easily explain why specific characters were missing.

Severide has done a wonderful job taking control of the firehouse in Pascal’s absence, but now that Pascal is back, it appears he’s dealing with a bigger CFD problem.

Annette Davis Is Also Back

The images for Chicago Fire Season 14, Episode 6, give away a lot about the storyline to come.

Annette Davis is back, and the last time we saw her, she made moves on Pascal.

Well, okay, she asked him out on a date, and he declined, explaining that it’s too soon for him, in his heart.

Pascal is grieving.

As toxic as his marriage with his wife seemed at the start of Chicago Fire Season 13, it was clear that the two loved each other, and Pascal was devastated by her death.

He’s not over it, and nor should he have to be.

For him to decide not to jump into another relationship shows that, deep down, he’s not a toxic man.

The question now is whether declining Annette’s advances will negatively affect him, but I hope she isn’t one of those women who abuse their power because of rejection.

We will get to see her working with both Pascal and Severide, though, and they seem to have some plans in place that could help reduce brownouts and budget issues for the CFD.

Severide On the Move Up

The synopsis offers a little more insight into why Severide is with Pascal and Annette in Chicago Fire Season 14 Episode 6.

A traffic jam forces Violet and Novak to take drastic measures to save a patient; Severide shadows Pascal for a day; Kidd goes the extra mile for Isaiah.

It turns out that he’s shadowing Pascal for the day, which could hint that Severide is about to start working his way up the career ladder.

Severide has always demonstrated excellent leadership skills, but he hasn’t always been eager to advance beyond his current position.

When Boden left Firehouse 51, most people likely thought Severide was the man to take over, and it was a bit of a surprise to learn that Boden wanted Herrmann to do the job.

However, Herrmann isn’t the man for it, deciding that that position wasn’t for him, and I still think it’s time for him to retire.

Now, it seems that Pascal has his eyes on Severide taking over one day.

I’d be down for that!

A Harrowing Call for All

Meanwhile, Firehouse 51 will have a call that shines a light on the paramedics again.

At the same time, it’s going to put Vasquez back in the limelight, because apparently, he hasn’t had enough already!

The promo for Chicago Fire Season 14 Episode 6 puts Violet and Novak in the middle of a traffic jam.

That wouldn’t usually be a concern, except that they have a patient who cannot wait to get to the hospital.

Since Ambo 61 can’t get through the traffic, they need to find a way to get their patient out to someone else, and that means going up.

That’s where Firehouse 51 comes in, and we’ll see Kidd, Vasquez, and others on Truck figuring a way to get the patient to the hospital.

Of course, Vasquez is the one with the job that could end up killing the patient.

Violet makes a note that “if the tube slips, she stops breathing,” and you know there’s going to be a moment in the episode that could lead to that.

Can Vasquez keep his cool?

Let’s hope, because a life is literally in his hands.
