I think we can all agree that a trip to Disneyland is about so much more than just living out your fairytale fantasies. Sure, there’s the undeniable feeling of magic in the air, and who doesn’t want to step into the immersive world of their favorite childhood memories? But more than just being a place where you can put your cares aside and imagineer what a life without limitations looks like, Disneyland is known as a destination for its culinary treasures.
It may not be at the forefront of haute cuisine by any means—and there are plenty of think pieces out there on what’s worth the spend and what isn’t—but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a destination nonetheless. Standouts like the Humungous Taco Salad and Proton Punch at Pyms Test Kitchen or the Lobster Nachos at Lamplight Lounge draw crowds from all over. It’s the perfect blend of whimsical Disney magic mixed with culinary innovation, and it’s hard to find a reason not to be thoroughly intrigued. Of course, if your gripe is that the food lacks a certain je ne sais quoi and you’re looking for something with a bit more time-honored gravitas that only a classically trained and immensely famous chef can provide, well, do we have news for you.

The most magical place on earth is about to get just a bit more posh with the help of everyone’s favorite fiery teddy bear, Gordon Ramsay. That’s right, folks. The highly decorated, world-renowned cooking personality known for having some of the best restaurants spanning a whopping four continents is finally making his culinary debut on Mickey and Minnie’s home turf. The Next Level Chef host and brain behind the popular Las Vegas hotspot that inspired one of the greatest reality television shows of the early 2000s, Hell’s Kitchen, announced the launch of a new 60s Britpop-inspired gastropub called The Carnaby.
Gordon Ramsay Announces New Restaurant Coming to Downtown Disney District
Posh ’60s-Inspired British Fare Reimagined by Gordon Ramsay
It will be located in the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, atop Earl of Sandwich, and will feature classic British fare with Chef Ramsay’s signature flair. Think: fish and chips, sticky toffee pudding, and, of course, Gordon’s very own beef wellington. In terms of decor, the space, which will comfortably seat 175 guests, is set to be inspired by London’s iconic Carnaby Street, featuring plush interiors, iconic British pop art, and an irresistible soundtrack featuring The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and more. There will be live music, two stylish outdoor terraces, and even a lively bar area where guests can savor one of the many signature cocktails available.
In Chef Ramsay’s own words, “All eyes were on London in the 1960s, a full-on fantastic technicolour scene of people going out and having fun. We are bringing those cool vibes to Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby. Stunning interiors, incredible food, and great music, whether it’s date night or dinner with friends or family, The Carnaby is going to bring the very best of cool Britannia to Downtown Disney District.” How’s that for an elevated, world-class culinary experience? It might be time to start planning our next trip. Although we don’t have an official opening date yet, we’ll keep our eyes peeled as more info emerges about Gordon’s exciting new venture.
In the meantime, if you just can’t get enough Gordon Ramsay, you can pick up his new Idiot Sandwich cookbook, and if you listen closely, you might be able to hear him screaming between the pages.
