Get Ready for a Spooky Shift: Chicago Fire’s Halloween Episode Is on the Way! md11

Halloween Hits Firehouse 51

Chicago Fire is officially getting spooky this season. NBC has confirmed that the next episode will feature a Halloween-themed celebration, and the photos already promise plenty of fun, friendship, and a dash of heartwarming emotion.

While the official synopsis doesn’t mention a full-blown Halloween plotline, behind-the-scenes images give us our first glimpse of Firehouse 51 embracing the holiday spirit. The team will rally behind Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and his family with a Pass the Boot fundraiser held at Molly’s Bar on Halloween night.

It’s not a haunted firehouse episode — but it’s shaping up to be a heartfelt one.

Mouch Leads the Charge

Judging by the new photos, Mouch (Christian Stolte) takes center stage in organizing the event. It’s a natural continuation of his ongoing support for Herrmann following recent personal struggles. True to character, Mouch once again steps up as the backbone of Firehouse 51 — and this time, he’s doing it in style.

And speaking of style… let’s talk costumes.

The Costumes: Firehouse 51 Gets Festive

The team’s Halloween looks are delightfully down-to-earth — a mix of humor, simplicity, and personality:

  • Mouch appears dressed as either an old-time saloon owner or a Charlie Chaplin–inspired character, complete with vintage flair. It’s classic Mouch — quirky, memorable, and just the right amount of ridiculous.

  • Novak (Jocelyn Hudon) channels her inner Chun-Li, rocking a martial arts–inspired costume that suits her fiery personality.

  • Violet (Hanako Greensmith) goes full mad scientist, proving that creativity and chaos are always part of her charm.

  • Cruz (Joe Minoso) keeps things sporty, showing up dressed like Tiger Woods in golfer mode.

  • Tony (Tony Ferraris) brings the laughs, showing up as — yes — a pineapple. Because someone at 51 always needs to commit to the weirdest costume in the room.

As for the power couple Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), they do make an appearance at the fundraiser — but sadly, without costumes. It’s a missed opportunity for a couple’s look, but given everything they’ve been through lately, showing up to support Herrmann is more important than dressing up.

A Chill But Charming Halloween

Instead of going over-the-top like some TV Halloween episodes, Chicago Fire seems to be opting for a more grounded, community-driven celebration this year. The vibe feels right — simple costumes, heartfelt camaraderie, and a sense of normalcy amid all the chaos the 51 team usually faces.

It’s not about scares or spectacle. It’s about showing up for family — something Chicago Fire does best.
