Fire Country star Kevin Alejandro (Manny) is headed to Sheriff Country to take on a whole new role.
Alejandro has played Manny on Fire Country since the show’s debut. Now he’s got a gig on Sheriff Country, but never fear, Fire Country fans, neither Alejandro nor Manny is leaving.
That’s good news considering Fire Country has already lost Vince (Billy Burke) and Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila). Alejandro is simply being lent out to Sheriff Country, but he won’t be on the show as Manny—at least not just yet.
It turns out Alejandro is stepping into the role of director on the Fire Country spin-off. The official Fire Country Instagram shared the exciting news that Alejandro directed Season 1, Episode 2 of Sheriff Country.

Several photos featured in the Instagram post revealed that another Fire Country star is also in the Sheriff Country mix for the second episode.
Diane Farr is bringing Sharon to Sheriff Country, which isn’t a huge secret since the trailer showed Sharon and Mickey (Morena Baccarin) interacting.
In an interview with Good Day Sacramento, Alejandro spilled that he is also directing Episode 3 of Sheriff Country. The actor revealed he wasn’t pulling double duty, either, as Sheriff Country began filming earlier than Fire Country, allowing him to focus solely on his directing responsibilities.
