Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 Episode 3 Preview & Spoilers: Is This Risk Worth Taking? md06

Grey’s Anatomy wants you to answer one question: how far would you go to save your own child?

How much is a risk worth taking to save their life?

I think a lot of parents are going to admit that risks are worth it, even if there isn’t a guarantee of your child surviving.

Not taking the risk will end up eating at you as a parent, and so, one of the main Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 Episode 3 storylines makes a lot of sense.

Parents Risking It All

The promo for the latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy goes into one of the medical situations the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial will face.

Two dads are willing to donate the lower part of their lungs to save their child, who needs a lung transplant.

We all know how long the transplant lists can be, and there is no guarantee of getting that transplant before time is up.

On top of that, there’s no guarantee of the transplant being a success.

The best match is usually the parents, and many parents would go through the risks of a live transplant to be able to make it work.

In fact, we’ve seen on Grey’s Anatomy in the past that parents team up to do a donation chain, and that was a success — and it’s also a very real thing to do.

However, this is a huge risk, and Winston doesn’t seem to support the idea.

Neither does Meredith, who wants to make sure that the parents are aware of all the risks, but Nick just wants to make it happen, knowing how little time there is to make some of these decisions.

Ben Has His Own Surgery

The start of the promo shows Ben Warren excited about his first day as Chief Resident.

It is not a job for anyone to take lightly, as Bailey knows.

However, Ben isn’t just excited about his new position.

He has a transplant surgery coming up, and this could be linked to the lung transplant arc, but it’s hard to tell who the patient on the table is in the images fo Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 Episode 3.

It’s not surprising that Ben would be excited about this type of transplant surgery, as it’s barely done anymore.

As Meredith implies, these types of living donor surgeries have too many risks, and Winston says that they’re not done anymore, and he’s visibly worried about that.

Ben isn’t that young as a doctor, as he was an anesthesiologist before all this, so he should know the risks, but it’s hard not to be excited to be a part of a major surgery.

Bailey Has Her Own Case

The synopsis for Grey’s Anatomy Season 22 Episode 3 tells us a little more about the episode.

And it has a lot to do with the Grey’s Anatomy G.O.A.T., Miranda Bailey.

A high-risk lung transplant pushes the surgical team to their limits; Bailey juggles a trauma patient whose treatment hangs in the balance.

She will deal with a trauma patient, and this patient’s treatment hangs in the balance.

It’s not clear why this is the case, because the promo doesn’t touch on it at all.

The images don’t even tell us a lot about the surgery.

Nevertheless, I suspect that this is going to be a heavy topic.

Lucas is part of the medical team, but there’s one image that makes it clear the patient doesn’t seem too happy to see him there.

This could be why things hang in the balance if she’s not happy with particular doctors being around.
