After 5 is not far away. A surprise announcement came our way following the release of After Ever Happy. We had really thought that Tessa and Hardin’s story would come to an end but it seems we were wrong. As an amazing Christmas gift, Afternators received the first teaser for the fifth season. But we are taking the risk of saying it again that we think this might be the very last After movie.
What is the Potential Release Date After 5?
The teaser confirmed that the movie will release in 2023, however, we do not have an announcement as of now. Hero Fiennes Tiffin did confirm that the movie had already been filmed in secret.
“We have just wrapped filming on the fifth After movie. I can’t tell you too much about it just yet, but I can tell you that it will be called After Everything, and I cannot wait for you all to see it,” he captioned an Instagram post. Going by the past pattern, all three predecessors came in September, so it would only be fair to think that this movie will also release in September. Also, we got the hint that the movie has already wrapped up with their filming, so we know only post-production is left, so there’s a good chance we will see this movie in September.
What is The Plot of After 5?
The book ended with Tessa and Hardin having two children. But the movies have already taken a different route than the books. In the fourth movie, we see that Tessa and Hardin are not seeing each other. Their final break-up happens when Tessa finds that the book Hardin has been writing is inspired by their relationship. In Tessa’s mind, it’s finally over. She leaves after she catches Hardin staring at another woman. The last shot we ever saw is Tessa walking off in the rain, remember? The fifth movie might pick up from this open ending, and we know that there’s a good chance we will see the two get back together this time leading up to a finale where they will live happily ever after.
Who’s Coming Back for After 5?
We have little to no information on the cast. Here are our guesses. Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin should be back as Tessa Young and Hardin Scott, respectively, as it is almost impossible to replace them after so many movies. The teaser also confirmed that Louise Lombard and Stephen Moyer would also come back. Let’s see who else returns. Only time will tell.
