Conner Floyd Shares the Unexpected, Laugh-Out-Loud Moment That Nearly Ruined His Days of Our Lives Self-Tape md17

Days of our Lives star Conner Floyd recently gave fans a look at what happens when he asks his dad for audition help.

Key Takeaways

  • The Young and the Restless alum did not get the job.
  • Conner Floyd’s dad is a bit of a breakout star.
  • The actor couldn’t keep a straight face thanks to his father.

Bring Your Dad To Work

Taking to Instagram, Floyd (Chad) shared a video of himself doing a self-tape for an audition.

“This is the last time I do a self-tape with his dad,” he declared, along with a warning of foul language, before sharing the footage of his dad trying to help.

Floyd delivered his lines with ease and also wore a backwards baseball cap very nicely. However, things got off course when his dad delivered a somewhat raunchy line that had Floyd cracking up and breaking character.

In the background, his dad was also laughing, but called out his son for doing it too. The second take wasn’t any better. Floyd couldn’t get past his dad saying, “when she was stroking my c**k.”

Every single time, Floyd was one point and in character until his dad said his line. Then all bets were off because the soap hunk simply broke out into laughter.

Floyd tried numerous takes for the self-tape, only to keep having the same thing happen. It was a hilarious interaction, even though we never even saw Floyd’s dad in the video.

After a few epic fails, Floyd eventually gave up. The caption on his Instagram share pretty much defines the father-son moment.

“no, I didn’t get the part,” he wrote.

The comments section of Floyd’s social media share was filled with familiar faces from his two soap families. DAYS Martha Madison (Belle) wrote, “love your Dad,” while Cherie Jimenez (Gabi) left several laughing/crying emojis.

Y&R stars Lauralee Bell (Christine) and Melissa Ordway (Abby), Floyd’s former on-screen love interest, also left many laughing/crying emojis.

Floyd’s mom, Gina Floyd, popped up in the comments to give her two cents on the hilarious video. “I could have nailed it first try!!!!! Love, mom.”

Some Y&R fans chimed in, but mostly to express how much they miss Floyd on the CBS soap.

“You are the best miss you on young & restless,” wrote one fan. Another fan expressed, “You are incredible and I miss you every day on Y&R.Please come home.”

A different fan shared, ” It was wild seeing ypu and Billy on Y&R. im excited to see you back on the screen at DOOL.”

The latter refers to Floyd’s latest gig on the hit Peacock soap. As SoapHub reported, Floyd left Y&R in June to take on the role of Chad on DAYS. This came after Billy Flynn left to play Cane on the CBS soap.

Due to DAYS’ advanced filming schedule, Floyd won’t make his Salem debut until April 2026, because Flyn will be on-screen until early 2026.
