The much-anticipated 22nd season of Grey’s Anatomy is just around the corner, set to air on ABC and Disney Plus.
In a shocking twist at the end of the last season, Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital was caught in a potentially fatal explosion, leaving fans anxious about the fate of their favourite characters.
Showrunner Meg Marinis confessed there were some heated debates about the aftermath of the explosion, stating: “I knew what I thought initially [about the outcome of the explosion], but I wanted to wait until my writers were back, so that people could also fight and argue with me.”
She added: “And so some things changed, some didn’t [in regards to how it pans out]. But I want to give everyone a chance to fight for what happens to specific characters,” during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
