Grey’s Anatomy returns to ABC on Thursday, October 9, with the Season 22 premiere at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The long-running medical drama follows a team of doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial, who face life-or-death decisions daily. They seek comfort from one another and, at times, more than just friendship. Together, they discover that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white.

Ellen Pompeo narrates the series as Dr. Meredith Grey and is set to appear on a handful of episodes. Chandra Wilson (Dr. Miranda Bailey) and James Pickens Jr. (Dr. Richard Webber) are the last two original cast members who continue to be part of the main cast.

The series also sttars Kevin McKidd (Dr. Owen Hunt), Caterina Scorsone (Dr. Amelia Shepherd), Camilla Luddington (Dr. Jo Wilson), Jason George (Dr. Ben Warren), Kim Raver (Dr. Teddy Altman), Chris Carmack (Dr. Atticus “Link” Lincoln), Anthony Hill (Dr. Winston Ndugu), Alexis Floyd (Dr. Simone Griffith), Harry Shum Jr. (Dr. Benson “Blue” Kwan), Adelaide Kane (Dr. Jules Millin), and Niko Terho (Dr. Lucas Adams).
