The much-loved period drama Bridgerton is officially returning for a fourth season, and fans finally have something to look forward to. Netflix has shared the first official poster from the upcoming season, giving a glimpse into what’s to come. The image features a new character in a silver gown, holding a mask, hinting at a new chapter filled with mystery and romance. The makers confirmed the announcement via social media, sparking buzz across fan communities.
Season 4 premiere date out
The announcement also revealed that Bridgerton Season 4 will premiere in 2026, exclusively on Netflix. The series, produced by Shondaland, has grown into a global sensation with each new season, and the fourth promises to continue that tradition with fresh faces, evolving storylines.
This time, the spotlight shifts to Benedict Bridgerton, the second eldest son in the Bridgerton family. Played by Luke Thompson, Benedict is known for his artistic soul and reluctance to conform to societal expectations. Unlike his siblings, marriage isn’t a priority, until a fateful night changes everything. The upcoming season will explore his unexpected romance with a mysterious woman he meets at a masquerade ball.
Korean-Australian actress Yerin Ha joins the cast as Sophie Baek, a maid with a complicated past who sneaks into the Bridgerton masquerade ball disguised in silver. Unknown to Benedict, she’s far from the noblewoman she appears to be. Their secret-filled love story will unfold over eight episodes.
The newly released poster offers a glimpse of Sophie in her masquerade attire, holding a mask behind her back—a visual cue that secrets and identities will play a central role this season.
More about Bridgerton Season 4
Season 4 will also introduce: Katie Leung (Harry Potter) as Lady Araminta Gun, Sophie’s strict stepmother, Michelle Mao and Isabella Wei as Sophie’s stepsisters, Rosamund and Posy Li. These characters are expected to bring fresh drama to the Bridgerton world.
Alongside the new additions, familiar favourites will return, including Jonathan Bailey (Anthony), Simone Ashley (Kate), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope), Claudia Jessie (Eloise), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), and the iconic narration by Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown.
Filming for the season concluded in June 2025, and post-production is currently in progress. An Offer from a Gentleman, the official tie-in book for Bridgerton Season 4, is set to release on January 6, 2026, in the US, and January 13, 2026, in Australia. According to What’s on Netflix, the timing of this release hints at a possible early 2026 premiere for the new season. Previous Bridgerton tie-in books have often launched close to the show’s release dates, suggesting a similar pattern this time. While Netflix hasn’t officially announced the premiere date, fans are speculating that Bridgerton Season 4 might drop in January or February 2026, possibly around Valentine’s Day.
