Earlier this month, fans spotted several Sopranos alumni dining together in New York, including Michael Imperioli (Christopher), Lorraine Bracco (Dr. Melfi), and Steve Schirripa (Bobby). The casual get-together instantly set social media on fire. Could a reunion project be in the works?
While the actors insisted it was “just dinner with friends,” fans aren’t convinced. Adding fuel to the rumors, Imperioli recently teased in an interview that he was “open to revisiting the family, in some way.” HBO executives have remained silent, but whispers of a limited series, documentary, or even a scripted spin-off are making the rounds.
Considering the continued success of The Many Saints of Newark, it’s not out of the question that HBO would look for another way to expand the universe. Whether it’s a full project or just nostalgia among friends, the photo of the cast together reignited excitement. For fans, seeing the surviving cast members in the same room was enough to dream of more Sopranos content.
