Ever since the film adaptations of the best-selling After books by Anna Todd began with the first movie in 2019, the romantic drama films have been beyond popular. Now that the fifth movie, After Everything, has arrived, fans are wondering when they can watch it on Netflix.
The fifth and final movie in the franchise has been highly anticipated since the release of the fourth movie, After Ever Happy, in September 2022. Following its release in theaters, After Ever Happy began streaming on Netflix in December 2022, the perfect holiday gift for fans of the movie franchise anxiously awaiting the new movie on their watch list.
Unfortunately, if you were hoping to add After Everything to your Netflix watch list in September 2023, we have some disappointing news. Super fans of the movie series will still be able to check out the new title in September, but Netflix watchers will have to keep waiting.
Although the exact Netflix premiere date for After 5 hasn’t been revealed just yet and could be announced soon, the movie wasn’t included on the list of Netflix’s new release movies and shows coming in September along with No Hard Feelings, New Amsterdam, and more top titles.
After Everything Netflix release updates
After Everything was released in theaters in the United States on Wednesday, Sept. 13 and will only be available for two days: Sept. 13 and Sept. 14. Outside of the United States, the movie hits theaters in certain territories on Sept. 13, Sept. 14, Sept. 15, and Sept. 22. After fans in the UK, India, Australia, and New Zealand can stream the movie on Amazon Prime Video on Oct. 6.
Last year, After Ever Happy was released on Sept. 7 and ended up on Netflix on Christmas Day. That’s a nearly four-month wait between the movie’s initial release and its drop on Netflix. After Everything could follow suit and arrive on Netflix sometime in December 2023, though it could also arrive in early 2024. Fingers crossed it will be on our watch lists before the year ends.
As mentioned above, if you don’t want to wait for Netflix, you can watch the movie in theaters on Sept. 13 and Sept. 14, and if you’re overseas, you can catch the movie in theaters and on Amazon Prime Video on Oct. 6. For the rest, we’ll have to wait until it’s available on Netflix and VOD later this year.
