Fans Call Out ‘Fire Country’ for Revealing Too Much in Season 4 Sneak Peek md11

Fire Country fans, it looks like there’s a big change ahead.

With season 4 of the hit CBS drama returning to TV on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 9 p.m. ET, fans are anxiously waiting to see which characters will pop up in Edgewater this time around. And given how the show continues to provide heart-pumping moments with every episode, folks certainly weren’t expecting to uncover some  sad news before the premiere.

In a Fire Country season 4 trailer posted on Instagram recently, viewers heartbreakingly learned that Billy Burke would not be returning as Vince Leone. In the video, we see Vince’s son Bode (Max Thieriot) giving a eulogy about him while standing next to a photo of the character in Dress Blue.

“Prepare for these heroes to face their toughest moments yet,” the caption ominously read on September 23. “A new season of #FireCountry premieres Friday, October 17 on @cbstv and @paramountplus.”

After fans realized that Vince (and subsequently, Billy) would no longer be featured on Fire Country, they immediately slammed the show about killing him off.

“ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?! How could you all kill Vince off?! Billy Burke is the heart of the show!!!! 😭😭😭🔥🔥🔥,” one person screamed in the comments. “Of all the people you could have killed, it had to be VINCE?!?! Ughhhh 😢,” another lamented. “I can’t watch without Vince. Sorry 😢🔥,” a different follower added.

But let’s not forget, the show teased Vince’s death in the season 3 finale. As he and his wife Sharon (Diane Farr) raced into a fiery nursing home to save Vince’s ailing dad Walter (Jeff Fahey), viewers saw Bode collapse as he watched the building fall on the trio in the final seconds of the last episode.

Well, it looks like there’s a lot to unpack on Fire Country this season …
