Everything to Expect From CBS’s Sheriff Country Spinoff md11

If you’re thinking of watching Sheriff Country, here’s everything you need to know about the newest CBS procedural premiering next month! Firstly, this will be a police spin-off series is set in the same universe as the popular firefighter procedural Fire Country. And we’re excited to see the town of Edgewater through a different lens.

There’s a good chance that Sheriff Country will be able to breathe fresh air into its universe. While both firefighters and law enforcement courageously save lives, their moral codes are slightly different. Upholding the law, ensuring fairness is given to all, and following rules have to be most important things to practice. It’s a responsibility that could turn messy and cause complications. Especially when you’re the Sheriff of a small town like this one.

Morena Baccarin, known for Deadpool, Gotham, and Homeland will lead her force as Sheriff Mickey Fox. If you’re a fan of the first four seasons of Fire Country, you’ll remember seeing her already in a few previous episodes. Now that she has her own show, we’ll be able to see Mickey patrol her small town where everybody knows everybody. Which isn’t necessarily a good thing. It won’t be easy for her to keep personal relationships intact as crime and drama escalate in Edgewater.

Joining Baccarin in the supporting cast is W. Earl Brown as Wes Fox, Matt Lauria (CSI: Vegas) as Nathan Boone, Christopher Gorham (The Lincoln Lawyer) as Travis Fraley, and Michele Weaver (The Pitt) as Cassidy. Additionally, Max Thieriot, who leads Fire Country as Bode Donovan/Leone, serves as one of the spin-off’s key supporters and guest stars. Tony Phelan (Grey’s Anatomy), Joan Rater (A Small Light), Matt Lopez, KristieAnne Reed, and Jerry Bruckheimer of Skydance Media join Thieriot as executive producers. Lastly, Matt Lopez will serve as the spin-off showrunner.

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming spinoff:

Synopsis

CBS summarizes the series here: “Sheriff Country stars Morena Baccarin as shooting sheriff Mickey Fox, the stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief Sharon Leone (Dianne Farr of Fire Country), who investigates criminal activity as she patrols the streets of small-town Edgewater while contending with her ex-con father and a mysterious incident involving her wayward daughter.”
