Former Sopranos Actor Arrested After Road Rage Shooting in New Jersey md15

A New Jersey man with minor acting credits, including a brief appearance on The Sopranos, has been arrested after allegedly shooting a woman during a road rage confrontation near Stockton University.

Authorities say the incident happened around midday on September 11 in Galloway Township. The suspect, identified as Ernest W. Heinz, allegedly cut off a female driver as she attempted to merge into traffic. When the two vehicles stopped at a red light, Heinz is accused of shouting threats before firing a single shot into the woman’s car.

The victim, later identified as Maritza Arias-Galva, was struck in the upper part of her nose. She survived the attack and was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Despite her wounds, she was able to give police a description of the shooter and his vehicle, details that quickly led investigators to the suspect.

Heinz was located at a residence in Galloway Township and taken into custody without incident. During the manhunt, officials temporarily issued a shelter-in-place order for Stockton University until the suspect was secured.

The actor is currently being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility while awaiting a court appearance. Court records indicate he faces multiple charges, including attempted murder and weapons offenses.

Although Heinz is not widely known, his résumé includes background roles in television and film, most notably a small part on the acclaimed HBO series The Sopranos.
