
Christian Stolte was a recurring star in Season 1, and has been a main cast member on the show since Season 2.
He plays Senior Firefighter Randall “Mouch” McHolland of Truck 81. A longtime member of Firehouse 51, Mouch serves as the crew’s union rep and self-appointed legal advisor. His nickname comes from always being seen on the couch—part man, part couch. He marries Chicago P.D.’s Sergeant Trudy Platt in Season 4. In Season 13’s “A Favor,” Mouch is promoted to Lieutenant, though he continues in his senior firefighter role under Lieutenant Stella Kidd.

Jocelyn Hudon (Paramedic Lizzie Novak) – EXPECTED TO RETURN
Jocelyn Hudon stars as Paramedic Lizzie Novak, introduced in Season 12 and promoted to main cast in Season 13.
She replaces Sylvie Brett on Ambulance 61. Lizzie is a free-spirited paramedic who initially preferred moving between firehouses but eventually embraces the stability of Firehouse 51. Known for her flirtatious and mischievous sense of humor, she also shows a strong dedication to advocating for the victims she encounters on the job.

Joe Minoso (Firefighter Joe Cruz) – EXPECTED TO RETURN
Joe Minoso was a recurring star on Season 1, and has been a main cast member since Season 2.
He plays Joe Cruz, a firefighter with Squad 3 at Firehouse 51. Introduced in Season 1, Cruz is a loyal and big-hearted member of the team, shaped by a rough upbringing in Humboldt Park. He started on Truck 81 before transferring to Squad 3 in the Season 3 finale. He marries Chloe Allen in Season 8 and becomes a father in Season 10, naming his son Brian “Otis” Leon Cruz in honor of his fallen friend.

David Eigenberg (Senior Firefighter Christopher Herrmann) – EXPECTED TO RETURN
David Eigenberg has been a main cast member from the beginning of the series.
Christopher Herrmann is a longtime fixture at Firehouse 51. Originally a senior firefighter on Truck 81, he later transferred to Engine 51 and was promoted to Lieutenant in Season 7 after multiple attempts at the exam. In Season 13, he passed the Captain’s exam but ultimately stepped down from the role and returned to firefighter status. A father figure to many, Herrmann also co-owns Molly’s Bar, a beloved hangout across the One Chicago universe.

Taylor Kinney (Lieutenant Kelly Severide) – EXPECTED TO RETURN
Taylor Kinney has been with the series from the beginning. He is expected to be back for Season 14.
He would be returning to his role as Lieutenant Kelly Severide, the charismatic and skilled officer leading Rescue Squad 3 at Firehouse 51. Known for his confidence and reputation as a “ladies’ man,” Severide has been a central figure since the show’s beginning. His longtime friendship with Matt Casey began at the CFD Academy but faced tension after a colleague’s death. Severide married Stella Kidd in Season 10 and is the son of Chief Benny Severide, a close friend of Chief Boden.

Dermot Mulroney (Dominic “Dom” Pascal) – EXPECTED TO RETURN
Dermot Mulroney has starred as Battalion Chief Dominick “Dom” Pascal, Battalion 25 since Season 13 to now. Pascal replaces Boden as Battalion Chief of Firehouse 51.
Described as a stoic, dark-humored leader who has returned to Chicago to reunite with his estranged wife after dealing with corruption at his former post in Miami, his style differs from Boden’s, but he quickly establishes respect and allegiance among the crew at 51. Brandon Larracuente as Firefighter Sal Vasquez – JOINING AS SERIES REGULAR!
Brandon Larracuente has joined Chicago Fire as a series regular ahead of Season 14, Variety confirmed in June.
He will be playing the role of Firefighter Sal Vasquez.
“Sal is good at his job and he knows it. He wants to be the best he can be at his job and to protect those around him while he’s doing it,” the actor told TV Insider.
He last starred on On Call, the Prime Video half-hour drama executive produced by Dick Wolf. The series did not get picked up for a second season. He has also appeared in shows like The Good Doctor, Party of Five, 13 Reasons Why and Bloodline.

Michael Bradway as Jack Damon- LEAVING!
Michael Bradway will not be back in Chicago Fire Season 14 as Severide’s firefighting half-brother Jack Damon, per Soaps.com.
Producers “would like to have the character reappear if schedules allow,” according to Soaps.com.
He was just cast in Prime Video’s Every Summer After as older brother Charlie, and production has already begun, so it feels like a return is unlikely at the moment.
Michael recurred for two seasons, starting in Season 12. In the Season 12 finale, he revealed that Lieutenant Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) that he’s his half-brother, and that Benny is also his dad.
As for how he will be written out, Season 13 presented a possible exit strategy: An efficiency expert warned the firehouse that layoffs and forced retirements were coming. “We’re going to have a lot of turnover, and a lot craziness going on in the CFD from the top, where people are being cut and moved, and everything’s going to get shaken up next season,” showrunner Andrea Newman told TVLine, teasing that “there will be hellos, and there will be goodbyes.”
