On the September 10 episode of Days of our Lives, Belle and Shawn waxed poetic about their daughter, Claire. Which reminded us just how badly this legacy character is needed back in Salem. And all the trouble she could get into!
Belle and Shawn Remember Claire — But Forget the Chaos She Caused
Belle (Martha Madison) and Shawn (Brandon Beemer) gushed about how their Claire was a “great kid,” and the thing they “got right.” And then they discussed her cheating on Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews).
They didn’t discuss her trying to burn Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Hayley alive at the Horton cabin, or attempting to kill Tripp and Ciara (Victoria Konafal). Belle and Shawn may not want to recall those aspects of their daughter’s character, but those are exactly the traits we’d like to see Claire bring back to Salem!
Why Claire Brady Could Return as Salem’s New Bad Girl
She doesn’t have to be completely homicidal this time around. Those kinds of characters tend to have a short shelf life. But she can be the bad girl Salem needs.
Theo and she are done — or are they? But she has other characters she can fit in with. It’s unfortunate that she’s a Brady, a Horton, and a Black, which means she’s related to a whole lot of people. But there’s Aaron (Louis Tomeo). Chad (Billy Flynn). Rafe (Galen Gering).
Could EJ DiMera and Claire Spark the Next Big Days Romance?
But the character we’d really like to pair Clair up with is… EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). Hear us out, hear us out! We know he’s a lot older than her. But does Claire strike you as the type who cares about details like that?
Even better is that EJ has just been dumped by Belle, a woman whom he had real feelings for. What could be better than to then start dating Belle’s daughter? EJ would be making a point. So would Claire. And we can predict what EJ would see in her: She looks like her mom… but has the personality of her aunt Sami (Alison Sweeney). How could EJ resist that?
