Fire Country & Sheriff Country Reveal Their Sizzling New Key Art

Fire Country will be back soon — and it’s bringing a new family member with it.

When firefighter drama Fire Country returns to CBS for Season 4 this fall, it will be joined by a new spinoff, Sheriff Country, which will adapt FC’s action/family drama formula for the police department.

To help you get excited for the expansion of the Country-verse, Parade has an exclusive reveal of new Fire Country and Sheriff Country key art, featuring firefighter Bode Leone (Max Thieriot, who’s also co-creator of both shows) and Sheriff Mickey Fox (Morena Baccarin).

Fire Country Season 4 will kick off with the resolution of the cliffhanger that ended last season, with Bode’s firefighter parents Vince (Billy Burke) and Sharon (Diane Farr) trapped inside of a burning building as the roof collapsed.

The events of the Fire Country season premiere will lead into the Sheriff Country series premiere, which will find Sharon’s stepsister, Mickey — the interim sheriff of the town of Edgewater — dealing with various personal and professional complications. Sometimes these complications cross over, as she invites her cannabis farmer father, Wes (W. Earl Brown) — an outlaw with a heart of gold — to come live with her and help look after her daughter Skye (Amanda Arcuri), a young woman struggling with drug addiction. It’s an intergenerational family drama with action.

In an interview with Parade, Baccarin previewed her character, who previously appeared in two episodes of Fire Country.

“I love how complex she is,” the actress says of Mickey. “She’s such a great combination of all of my best and worst qualities as a person. She hates being vulnerable. She’s really good at her job and loves what she does, but almost to a fault. You know, she has many blind spots, because she believes in the good of people and in the kind of community and society that she wants to live in. She is fiercely loyal, kind of a hard ass, but also has her Achilles heels. And so I felt like it was a character that you don’t see much on TV, which is like a strong yet vulnerable woman who has a commanding presence and is in charge.”

Sheriff Country’s cast also includes Matt LauriaChristopher Gorham, and Michele WeaverFire Country’s cast also includes Kevin AlejandroJordan Calloway, and Jules Latimer.

Fire Country returns for Season 4 on CBS on Friday, Oct. 17 at 8/7c, followed by the series premiere of Sheriff Country at 9/8c. Starting Oct. 24, Fire Country will air at its regular time Fridays at 9/8c and Sheriff Country will air Fridays at 8/7c. New episodes will be available to stream on Paramount+.
