Annabeth Gish Joins ‘Chicago Fire’ — Plus More Casting Surprises You Missed

Happy’s Place is staging a Taxi reunion: Christopher Lloyd and Carol Kane, who played Jim Ignatowski and Simka Gravas on the classic ABC-turned-NBC sitcom, will guest-star in Season 2 of the Reba McEntire comedy.

Lloyd will appear as Clive, “a gentleman who has lost his phone at Happy’s Place and comes back to retrieve it,” while Kane will play Theresa, “a free-spirited woman in pursuit of justice, excitement and her husband, Clive.”

Additionally, Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live) will guest-star in Season 2 as Monica, “a no-nonsense health inspector newly appointed to Happy’s Place,” per NBC. “She takes her job incredibly seriously and doesn’t cut any corners when it comes to cleanliness.”

Happy’s Place returns Friday, Nov. 7 at 8/7c. Airdates for Lloyd, Kane and Oteri’s episodes have not yet been revealed.

In other casting news…

Chicago Fire has tapped Annabeth Gish (The X Files) to recur in Season 14 as the mayor’s chief of staff, Annette Davis. According to TV Insider, which first broke the news, Gish will first appear in the Wednesday, Oct. 1 premiere.

The Young and the Restless has cast Matt Cohen (Supernatural) as Detective Burrow, Entertainment Weekly reports. He’ll first appear Thursday, Oct. 16, and he will be “front and center investigating a major case featuring some of the soap’s key characters.”
