Raegan Revord steps into the spotlight in a new creative role.

The 17-year-old actress, best known for her breakout role as Missy Cooper on Young Sheldon, is expanding her horizons beyond acting.

On social media, the former child star has been open about her passion for reading and even launched her own book club, Read with Raegan, in 2019. Beyond that, she is embracing an exciting new chapter as a writer.

Revord announced an exciting surprise for fans with an upcoming appearance as she celebrates the launch of her first novel.

Set for September 4, she invited her fans to “come see” her at an exclusive Los Angeles event.

Alongside USA Today bestselling author Veronica Bane, the teen star will discuss and share insights about her young adult novel, Rules for Fake Girlfriends.

“To celebrate Rules for Fake Girlfriends, we’re hosting an LA book event with Raegan Revord on Saturday, September 6th at 4pm. Raegan will discuss their YA rom-com with Veronica Bane,” the post reads.

Described as a “charming and swoony YA rom-com,” it follows the story of a young university student navigating the challenges and excitement of her first year studying abroad.

Beyond her academic journey, the book also explores themes of first love, loss and self-discovery.

Before the release, the teen actress announced she would be publishing a young adult novel introducing the character of Avery Blackwell, a college freshman in England who chooses to attend her late mother’s alma mater.

“I am so excited to announce that my debut YA novel, Rules For Fake Girlfriends, will be released in fall 2025 in hardcover, ebook and audio formats,” she wrote in an Instagram post in February 2024.

Moreover, she shared her excitement for readers to meet the characters and experience Avery Blackwell’s unique and personal story.

“I am so excited for readers to go on this journey with Avery and her friends. Inclusive stories are more important now than ever and I’m excited to have been given the opportunity to share Rules for Fake Girlfriends with readers,” the actress added.

In addition to her off-screen projects, fans have also seen Revord on screen following the end of the hit CBS series Young Sheldon. She made a guest appearance in the final episode of the sitcom Night Court and reunited with co-star Zoe Perry in the Young Sheldon spin-off Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
