Former I’m A Celeb star Fred Sirieix has revealed that Gordon Ramsay is not taking part in his latest TV venture along with Gino D’Acampo due to scheduling conflicts
I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here star Fred Sirieix has finally lifted the lid on why Gordon Ramsay has decided to bow out of his latest TV show along with chef Gino D’Acampo – as he’s busy opening restaurants.
The 52 year old TV personality, who made waves while on the ITV jungle show, has landed a new show titled Emission Impossible, along with Gino. But unlike his previous TV ventures which featured both him, Gino and Gordan, the potty mouthed TV chef has taken a step back due to opening restaurants around the country. Speaking about his new show at London’s BAFTA TV Awards recently, he said: “This year I’m going by myself with Gino.”
He continued to explain to the Daily Star: “We’re going to do a show called Emission Impossible. What we’re going to do is travel to European destinations and try to be as green as we can along the way, which is going to be a nightmare. Gino is going to moan and he’s going to be very upset, but okay, I can take it.” And in a bid to quell rumors of a rift between him, Gino and Gordan he then admitted: “It’s a question of schedule and timing. Gordon is always opening new restaurants here, there and everywhere, you know? So he’s got less time than us, but we’ll see next year, hopefully.”
Fred and Gino will visit countries including Austria to hunt down sustainable produce and be as environmentally aware as possible. Both Gino and Fred said: “We’re thrilled to be upcycled by ITV for another action-packed adventure and can’t wait to cook up some fantastic sustainable dishes whilst hopefully stirring up debate around these important issues. We might not come up with the recipe to save the planet but we hope to entertain, inform and inspire the audience to think about making changes in their own lives.”
While on I’m A Celebrity, Fred caused a stir when he engaged in a heated discussion with his fellow campmate Nella Rose back in December last year. During a discussion around the camp fire, Fred innocently said that he was old enough to be Nella’s dad but did not foresee that comment would upset the YouTube star, whose father passed away a few years ago.
During her exit interview with Ant and Dec after weeks of living off food rations, Nella felt justified in her argument with Fred. She said: “I just feel like, in the middle of an argument, or in the middle of a dissent, you shouldn’t bring up sensitive topics. And I feel like, in the middle of a dissent, he brought up a sensitive topic . I didn’t understand why he would do that.”
