Ranking the Romance: Which Season of ‘Bridgerton’ Stands Above the Rest?

Counting the prequel, Bridgerton has a four-for-four track record on the whole. However, when you factor in the storyline, character development, and most importantly, the main couple’s chemistry, does one season of the hit Netflix series outweigh the rest? We’ll hold off on giving our own opinion and allow you to weigh in, dearest gentle reader.

You may be of the opinion that Season 1 did it best. The love story between Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page‘s Daphne and Simon is responsible for launching most fans’ obsession with the Netflix series, after all. Maybe you’re a fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope, so the fiery Anthony and Kate (Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley) in Bridgerton’s sophomore outing were more up your alley. Bailey’s “bane of my existence” monologue is truly iconic.

‘Bridgerton’ Love Interests: Your Guide to All the Couples in the Universe

Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton were the latest couple to grace our screens in Season 3, and the show took a friends-to-enemies-to-lovers approach with Penelope and Colin. Last but not least, we think Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story deserves consideration in this discussion. We can’t forget the tragic and beautiful romance between Charlotte and George, played by India Amarteifio and Corey Mylchreest, in the spinoff. (The chemistry was truly superb.)

We know we’ll have to circle back once Season 4 premieres in 2026, with Benedict (Luke Thompson) and Sophie (Yerin Ha) taking center stage in a Cinderella-inspired love story. From the glimpses we’ve gotten so far of the next installment, we know Season 4 is going to be strong contender for the best season yet. The Benedict babes have been waiting for their moment to shine.
